6   It's Up To You

"So premies, this is an opportunity that I was able to come from India to the West, and so many premies have received Knowledge and finally we got Divine Light Mission set up pretty good, and we are rolling. And there is one thing we have to understand. Just before this program we were filming a film for India, and I could have just sat there while the film was rolling and just laughed and laughed and laughed, and that film wouldn't have been worth sending to India. And when the film started rolling, just automatically there was this feeling that I shouldn't waste it."

"And I know when I was struggling along, after I received Knowledge, I heard people talk about, oh I only want to be devoted, I just want to be devoted, I just want to be a devotee, and I didn't even understand what that meant. And slowly slowly you start understanding that that's really where it's at, just to be a devotee, and it was like, oh never let me go Maharaj Ji, never let me go, never leave me. But it's like we have to hold onto him. He's holding onto us but he also gives us the choice to let go at any time, any one of us can just let go and turn our back on Maharaj Ji. So it's so important to bind yourself so close that nothing can shake you, nothing can distract you, nothing can pull you away, because that's the only thing you should be attached to."

9   It's An Evolution

Excerpts from Bob Mishler's satsang at the national DUO Conference, Melbourne, October 30, 1974.

"Ultimately the form of government in this world is of not being governed, but of being servants. Being in tune with reality and being servants of that life-force which is giving life to all of us. And the natural law of the harmony of the universe will prevail. In that sense, law enforcement will be meditation. Because meditation is that thing which will keep us in harmony with the law of God, and everyone will take the responsibility for maintaining their meditation. It will be a form of conscious anarchy. It's not only possible, it's inevitable."
