Volume 2, Issue 7, December 1974, And It Is Divine Magazine
"And It Is Divine" was the name of this colour magazine published by Divine Light Mission in the USA from November 1972 until the late 1970's when it was replaced by "Élan Vital." It began as a monthly magazine with highbrow pretensions attempting to carry a wide spectrum of articles relating to the wider alternative culture and ended the same as all other Divine Light Mission magazines printing pictures and speeches of Prem Rawat's or his immediate family or close followers.

Step by step. And then another. Each day, those of us who have received Knowledge from Guru Maharaj Ji take one more step. Each time we sit down to meditate we move a little closer toward the goal. We are on our way to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Good Morning Durga Ji, Hans Jayanti, Toronto Canada, November 9, 1974
Once we receive that, we know it. There's no doubt about it. It's so beautiful that it becomes too hard to even explain the way it really is. Yet we try in all these ways to tell people that this is really it; this is the day. He's really come.
"I bow down to you, 0 great soul, my Master! Your eyes are full of mercy. Their glance is like a flood of moonbeams. I am blessed indeed! I have achieved life's only purpose. I recognize my true nature in eternal joy. Until now, I have been dreaming. You have wakened me from my dream. You have set me free forever. Salutations to You, 0 great Master. You are one with the shining Light that casts this shadow of a world."
This is how it has happened. Every time the people have really been into this illusion of this world, every time, the Perfect Master has come to save them. This Knowledge and the Grace, and the satsang and the darshan is like that finger. If every premie can hold on to it - the meditation, the Knowledge, the satsang, the darshan - then the whole thing is just so beautiful. Then there is really no way left that we can go back in the ocean where there are always waves, and you get hit by one wave and you are gone, or there are things that always are there to eat you.
That, in a nutshell, is the difference between a man who merely has an education and a man who has learned how to use it; and it exactly parallels the difference between the man who merely has the Knowledge and the man who actually meditates.
And His bride's heart is filled, drenched with the Word. Her Beloved is a source of bliss, ever new and constant. He neither comes nor goes, but always delights in the true wife who obeys His mere glance.
The Gateway To Liberation Satsang of Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, November, 1963
Tulsidas wrote in the Ramayana: "I bow to the lotus feet of my Guru, who is an ocean of mercy and is no other than God Himself in human form, and whose words are sunbeams for dispersing the mass of darkness in the form of gross ignorance.
than those in books or poems,
it simply lives within the guise of His Feet.
