Durga Ji and the Swan

Durga And the Swan

I saw You covered with light,
with flowers and silver ribbons,
dressed in the finest music
which draped around You like satin.
The bird on which You rode was white
as the silver upon Your hair
of fine amber silk, and the dance began …

You floated around Him, attached
with blue and green ribbons, flowers
fell from everywhere, stars were
scattered about like tinsel and glitter.

I always wondered
what fantasy would look like,
if it became real.

My arms were stretched out,
I beheld our Lord gowned in finery
more enchanting than silver or gold.
We danced for Him, we live for Him,
and He has given us.

No words can describe the beauty I see,
no feeling can express the greatness of this
moment. I and You, You and I are His.

The romance involved is more perfect
than those in books or poems,
it simply lives within the guise of His Feet.

His Feet are always above us,
and these flowered fields we dance upon
are the shadows they cast around us.
It's perfectly clear …

I always wondered
what fantasy would look like,
if it became real.
