Birthday Greetings
For Maharaji's 30th birthday on December 10th 1987, messages were sent from people all over the world on video tape. Perth gave their greeting on the shores of the Indian Ocean and Sydney
with the Opera House in the background, while people from Adelaide sang 'happy birthday' on the steps of the Adelaide Convention Centre, the venue for Maharaji's forthcoming visit in May.
In Melbourne, Don Hogan imitated his namesake Paul Hogan in a humorous 'Crocodile Dundee' birthday greeting on behalf of all the blokes and sheilas down under.
Maharaji himself celebrated his birthday with a two hour morning gathering at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. He gave a 45 minute talk to about 1700 people, cut and shared a birthday cake and then sat back and enjoyed the entertainment which included Kim O'Leary singing a song composed by Maharaji himself.
Excerpts from Maharaji's talk are on pages 4 and 5.
Maharaji's Australian visits
Maharaji's visit to Australia in May and June of this year will be his tenth within sixteen years.
His first visit to Sydney in 1972 was arranged by a small group of people, most of whom received Knowledge in England or India.
From that first visit interest in Knowledge grew quickly and by 1975 Maharaji's visits were attracting audiences of about 2000 people.

What's in a name?
As you can see we have decided to update our magazine. It has a new look, a new purpose and a new name.
We have chosen N B. , an abbreviation of the Latin nota bene, which means 'mark well' or 'observe particularly' because this magazine will be produced when we have something notable to report on Maharaji's activities.
Maharaji is constantly moving around the world meeting with people from all different cultures and countries. Many people are already practising Knowledge, others are preparing to be taught how to practise Knowledge, and many more are simply interested in hearing more.
A small team of people work together to produce 'N.B.' Everyone's effort is on a voluntary basis. If you would like to help and have experience in journalism or a similar field, please let us know. We invite your comments and contributions.
This issue of 'N.B.' was produced by Malcolm Davey, Derek Harper, Don Hogan, David Lovejoy, Wendy Lovejoy, Tony Lunn, Michael McDonald, Jan McGregor, Carol Ransome, Joy Winne!.
