WILL HE COME? AT THE MOMENT AUSTRALIA IS BALANCING PROBABLE AND DEFINITE AS TO THE ARRIVAL OF GURU MAHARAJ JI. HIS DECISION CAN BE SWAYED TO UNLIKELY BY THE LOVE PULL OF EUROPE, SOUTH AFRICA OR SOUTH AMERICA. BEING SO FEW IN NUMBER, WE MUST WORK UNCEASINGLY TO DRAW HIM HERE, FOR ONLY SERVICE AND GREAT LOVE PLEASE THE LORD. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE THE OLDER PREMIES SAW MAHARAJ JI, AND FOR THOSE WITHOUT DARSHAN THEIR EXPERIENCE OF THE KNOWLEDGE IS INCOMPLETE, NOT HAVING BEEN IN THE PHYSICAL PRESENCE OF THE GIVER OF WORD ATTD LIGHT. IT IS ONLY A MONTH AND A HALF TO MILLENIUM, SO LESS THAN SIX WEEKS OF FULL-OUT EFFORT IS NO DFFICULTY IN ORDER T0 DRAW MAHARAJ JI HERE WE HAVE NOT WVORKED HARD AT ALL. ATHLETES AND COAL- MINERS SPEND FAR MORE TIME PUSHING THEMSELVES ON TOWARDS TEMP0RAL GOALS, WHERE ALREADY WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN, THROUGH NO PARTICULAR QUALITY WITHIN OURSELVES, BUT OUT OF SHEER COMPASSION, THE PRICELESS ETERNAL JEWEL OF CREATION. PLEASE, PLEASE RECOGNISE WHO YOU ARE,REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED, COUPLE YOUR LONGING WITH PERSEVERANCE AND THE MASTER WILL COME.
EDITORIAL
With the printing press about to be installed one factor delays the preparation this week, of a proper newspaper - no news!! As evidenced by this slim issue, few people seem willing to support an excellent opportunity for propagation, and the Editor is reduced to rummaging through filing cabinets after fragments of letters, muttering "Great Caesar's Ghost!" beneath his breath. Premies should be aware that the source of all talents has been revealed to them, that all original efforts stem from the origin, that they are capable of writing something constructive and meaningful when they can constantly relate back to that primordial fund of inspiration - God's Book of Remembrance. Koestler once defined the act of artistic creation as the "bisociation of modes of perception" - that is, the putting together of separate areas of knowledge to form a novel concept. So, when one is connected to the universal perception, when one surveys creation from its centre, numberless events present themselves for use and unification. Whenever you feel the need to sing praises to the Lord arising within you, whenever you notice a couple of perceptive modes bisociating - stick it down on a piece of paper and send it here!!
MILLENIUM '73
Millenium '73 will present Guru Maharaj Ji and His Knowledge to the world, by means of three days of satsang, music, dance and theatre. The first day will be entitled - "WHAT IS A PERFECT MASTER?" - and will depict the lives of great saints down through the ages. The second day, entitled - "THE LORD HAS COME" - will announce to the world that the Bringer of Peace is indeed walking on the planet. The third day will be called - "THE WORLD ASSEMBLAGE TO SAVE HUMANITY". It is on this day that Guru Maharaj Ji will present His concrete program for saving the world. Performing throughout the three days will be Bhole Ji's Big Band, Blue Acquarius. The Divine Dance Ensemble will present "KRISHNA LILA" - a dance-drama written by Guru Maharaj Ji and depicting episodes in the life of Lord Krishna. Other original works will include a classical oratorio about the Holy Family, and a full- length play about the life of Jesus Christ. Guru Maharaj Ji's mother, Mata Ji, and His three brothers will be present every day to grace the assemblage with their Holy Discourses. And the focus of the whole event will be the satsang of Guru Maharaj Ji Himself. Truth seekers from every part of the earth will flock to Houston to hear from His lips the message of universal peace.

ANOTHER DAY FLYING HIGH IN SYDNEY
The Day - 11th September, 1973. MahatmaJi arrives from New Zealand on Qantas DC 8 at Mascot International Terminal. About 40 or so premies and non premies gathered at the exit gates singing loudly the praises of Our Lord and Saviour, Guru Maharaj Ji, and waiting patiently to see our beloved MahatmaJi once again. This time it was only to be for a short two hours before he left for Brisbane. It took quite some time for David and Mahatma Ji to get through Customs - "Who's this Guru Maharaj Ji then?" After several minutes of satsang our Customs friend was joined by yet another Customs man, and then they said - "What's this film then?" It was of course our beautiful Darshan movie "Satguru Has Come", and after more explanations and smiles Mahatma Ji and David were finally cleared, only to be refused exit through the gateway where the beaming devotees were singing their hearts out. Mahatma Ji said - "They try to hide Divine Light, but how can they hide Divine Light?" When Mahatma Ji appeared in the adjoining gateway he was greeted with bunches of flowers and beautiful garlands and shining faces, and before we knew it he was whisked away to the Ansett Terminal. A question and answer satsang ensued in the nearby park in beautiful sunny conditions, and everyone shared in a wonderful two hours of bliss and prasad, until it was time for Mahatma Ji to fly away. Mahatma Ji was so beautiful playing with baby Miles and
baby Jyoti, and telling us how wonderful this Golden Age is - that little children get the most joyous gift to sit in the lap of a Saint. ALL GLORY TO OUR LORD SHRI GURU MAHARAJ JI! - Sydney Correspondent on the scene!
NEWCASTLE PROPAGATION
On Saturday, 8th September, fourteen premies from Sydney descended on sleepy Newcastle to help our three Newcastle sisters tell people there that peace is possible, and that someone is here to show us how to find it. Our arrival coincided with the city's Mattara Festival, which was held in the main park. So, in the midst of weird machines flinging people around, the blissful message of Guru Maharaj Ji was spread. Many leaflets were distributed and many people heard satsang, for the first time. We returned to home base, (the premies' house), for dinner and a rest before returning to the festival. Guru Maharaj Ji was right there with us, and everyone could feel His presence. Joan picked up a guitar, everyone sang, and satsang began to flow. The feeling of peace, love and harmony was overwhelming, and time had no meaning. We all knew the beautiful feeling of unity that ccmes from serving with our brothers and sisters. Back to the park for more propagation - the place looked even more unreal at night. However, many people were interested in our message, and we were invited to a coffee bar later that evening. A couple of blissful hours were spent there giving satsang in a friendly
amosphere. People generally were so open. The next day was swpent plastering Newcastle with posters advertising Mahatma Ji's programme the following weekend. Very few pastable places escaped decoration! Soon everyone in Newcastle will have heard of Guru Maharaj Ji and hopefully, by His Grace, many will come to hear Mahatma Ji. Maybe other weekend excursions to coastal and country centres can be arranged. This is really a most impor- tant service. Everyone must know the Lord is here!! Jai Satchitanand!
ANTIPODEAN CRUSADE
In Australasia, the circle of fall-out from the global peace bomb continues to expand with divine energy. We have been blessed with the presence of Mahatma Padarthanand for two months now, and in that time he has toured Australia twice and also brought "love, light and Knowledge" to New Zealand for the first time. After making, a first circle of the established ashrams in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane in order to bring Knowledge to the thirsty ones who had waited for up to ten months, Mahatma Ji began a second tour. This time he also took in the newly-opened centres in Perth, Western Australia, and Hobart, Tasmania. In these somewhat isolated cities, it was cheering to see news of Guru Maharaj Ji's presence first baffling, then intriguing and finally winning over the hearts of sincere seekers. In Perth the propagation was mainly through already established religious and yogic groups and societies, and it was Amazing Grace to see the harmony of Love
prevail over so many different opinions and practices. In Hobart, a younger, more political audience was reached through the university, and conducted a very stern inquisition into Divine Light Mission's role in society. But under the impartial sun of Truth, even the fiercest critic found his preconceptions melting away. This second tour covered nearly seven thousand miles and 24 consecutive daily programs and by its finish the number of premies in Australia had more than doubled. Then only one program in headquarters, Sydney, and it was off again, across the Tasman Sae to New Zealand for a week. The ashram in Auckland on the North Island, was started by a brother and a sister who had travelled independently from England to New Zealand in order to propagate in their native country. It has recently been strengthened by the injection of five premies, also New Zealand born, who had been living and serving in Australia. At the same time three premies also inaugurated a centre in Christchurch, the main city of the South Island. New Zealand is uniquely situated far from disturbing contact with over-populated and over-industrial societies, and retains therefore a measure cf external tranquillity, which is characterised by the openness of most inhabi- tants. It is refreshing to discover television and newspaper people who aren't hard-boiled, know-it-all cynics. The media-men in New Zealand, for the most part, came genuinely interested in discovering the truth and reporting it. mahatma Ji was interviewed on two television programs, and in one a long clip from "Satguru Has Come" was shown. It was amazing too, to hear a radio reporter announce on the air that from
his own experience and observation, any story about Divine Light Mission being; worldly organisation was sheer uninformed prejudice. Whether or not one believed in the sanctity of Guru Maharaj Ji, His followers are totally convinced, sincere people. After six days of blissful propagation in such a receptive environment, Mahatma Ji flew back to Australia to finish his tour around the continent by visiting Queensland. Now there are premies in every State of Australia and New Zealand Dropagating hard for the one thing which we lack: the presence of the Lord. Surely He will hear the cries of His children here and through His divine Darshan inspire us to make the heavenly pilgrimage to Millennium '73. 0 my heart! let us go to that country where dwells the Beloved, the ravisher of my heart! There Love is filling her pitcher from the well, yet she has no rope wherewith to draw water; There the clouds do not cover the sky, yet the rain falls down in gentle showers: 0 bodiless one! do not sit on your doorstep; go forth and bathe yourself in that rain! There it is ever moonlight and never dark; and who speaks of one sun only? that land is illuminate with the rays of a million suns. -- Kabir.
