International. Kathy Cituk (shown leaving Guru Maharaj Ji's office) performs a dual role. As Maharaj Ji's secretary she functions as a point of communication between the premies and Maharaj Ji. Her larger role is coordinator of International Communications, in which she channels all incoming communications from global missions and presents it to mission leaders and Maharaj Ji.

The Legal Department sees that all Divine Light Mission's legal obligations and rights under the law are fulfilled. Legal department secures copyrights for trademarks, publications, and all music created by mission artists. Legal also negotiates all new contracts, leases, records and files proper forms for Internal Revenue, and handles all insurance matters for the mission as well as taking care of the legal needs of individual ashram residents.

Data Services employs an IBM System III to record and provide information to other departments. Data Services processes the bulk of paperwork for the finance department, the distribution department, personnel department and Information Services. The computer is *** … missing words ***

The recently established Audio Visual Center is shown here under construction. By Guru Pula, the department, a part of Information Services, will have produced several thousand cassette tapes of Maharaj Ji's satsang. The festival will be recorded thoroughly in sound and video and by fall the department will launch a new series of radio programs. Also planned is a television library to coordinate recordings and provide access to tapes.

Shri Hans Services operates its own Electronics Shop. The shop was created out of demand for reliable repair service for all of the electronic equipment used at headquarters. The shop repairs tape recorders, televisions, public address systems and other expensive appliances. The Electronics Shop is also building dimmer switches and items for use at Guru Puja.

The Personnel Department keeps records of all premies and their skills. When someone is needed for a particular service or if a person would like to perform a particular service they are channelled through the personnel department. Immigration details are handled through this department when the need arises. Securing visas for foreign premies, mahatmas and members of Maharaj Ji's family are the duties of Personnel.

The Finance Department coordinates and regulates the flow of money that keeps the mission running. A computer system has recently been devised so that all transactions of the 30 reporting centers are coded and recorded for instant analysis by financial planners. Because mission finances are all centralized in Denver, the finance department maintains constant telephone contact with the individual centers.
