La Maison d'Elégance
La Maison d'Elégance is an exclusive men's wear shop in Toronto. It is run by Mark Coons and George Conquergood and offers the well-dressed man the finest clothing available in the country. Catering to the $225. and up suit market the store invites clients to phone 964-1600 and make an appointment to discuss wardrobe requirements in stylish comfort. The store occupies a large house at 106 Avenue Road in the midtown/downtown area of Toronto. Decor is contemporary (black, red and white), with the odd antique and a full-size pool table for the amusement of the clientele. Tiffany lamps, Gaffney candles and Townsend murals complete the interior.
In recent days Raja Ji and Claudia have been enjoying the services and conviviality of the proprietors, to the pleasant delight of all. Suits for Guru Maharaj Ji are also in the process of being made. Mark Coons runs the retail end of the operation while George Conquergood sells, leather goods, wholesale, to the trade only -- and everything from jackets to full dress coats.
Welcome! CALGARY
Calgary has a brand-new Divine Information Centre! For the past few months, only a handful of premies have been active in this major city, but now, by His Grace, the community of devotees of Guru Maharaj Ji is growing. The new centre is located at 523 31st St., NW (telephone number is 403-283-9253). Besides getting the centre started, Calgary premies held a public program the week after the festival in Nelson. In this, they were helped by some of their brothers and sisters in Edmonton. And in addition to a new centre and a recent public program, Calgary now has new premies.
HALIFAX JUMBLING
Something beautiful is going on-we're all becoming alive. Such a wonder, this Knowledge. Grace just keeps coming our way.
You know when we get our energies 'together and do service; amazing things happen. Way back in May we started Divine Sales. The fun began - jumping in the van, piling out, and sprinting up and down the hills of Halifax. That's jumbling. A night of leafletting and then one of collecting rummage. That old van sure does get packed full, too!
For the weekend sales, there's lots of sorting and setting up. Great quality, quantity, prices, and vibes keep bringing us more and more customers. Makes good sense don't it?
It's really fine to see clutter going from homes and basements to be used again. What can't be sold in the store is ragged and used by companies. Recycling in practice!
So great to know all the profits are going to a worthwhile cause. Back to the people of this world. Helping us all better conditions.
But what 'bout us, the premies and the folks who help us? Blissful service, let me tell you! Working together, meeting our neighbors and spreading the Knowledge.
