One Foundation
Short but sweet - One Foundation was a premie band formed by Ross Hannaford around the middle of June to play at a dance he was running on July 4. The band consisted of Ross Hannaford guitar (Daddy Cool), Joe Creighton ex Band of Angels, Noel Davies now guitarist with Hot City hump Band, Martin Kellock, Margo Barrett and Madeleine McCrae making up a vocal backing section and Geoff Bridgford on drums.
The band was only formed to do the fourth of July concert but managed to play a night at Fairlea Women's Prison, a lunchtime concert at Melbourne State College to promote a meditation program the next day, and an afternoon of music at Pentridge Gaol. The band disbanded on July 7 as Joe was leaving to join some premie musicians in Queensland, Noel was leaving for Sydney with Hot City and Ross, in his new role as bass player for Daddy Cool, was to settle into a string of rehearsals with the group's new line-up.
