Once again, a great chance to just listen, try to understand, because one little understanding can change the whole equation for you. This life of many days, many hours, many weeks, many months can actually become a joy, not tedious, not living in bewilderment, not trying to duck, dodge, but making every day meaningful, making every day filled with gratitude, with understanding. This is possible. And to a lot of people, it begins with saying, well, that's a challenge. That's not a challenge, because what is the process by which you will accomplish this? This is not a process of creation. It's putting back where things belong. This is what it'll accomplish. That's what will make it right, because things have gotten so mumbled, jumbled. What is the key? What is the trick? What is the trick? There's just one element, just one element.

Place the Self above all that goes on during your day. You. You place everything else above the Self. And what are the consequences? Confusion, doubt, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, I wonder, coping, trying to. You know how much time people actually spend trying to explain, oh, it must be karma. Must be karma. And do you know how many books have been written on karma? And do you know how many interpretations there are of karma? In your last lifetime, you did something nasty, obviously. I mean, if you look at a person's life, you would come to believe, if you believed in karma, you would come to believe that you were really a nasty person in your last lifetime. That's why you got the parking ticket. That's why your tire went flat. That's why you lost your keys. That's why you have a good job. That's why you lost your promotion. This is why this happened. This is why. Explanations. And the human being of this day and age is more content with explanations than with reality to say, hey, I can change that. I can change that. It's not about losing the Keys. It's not about having the flat tire. It's not about getting the ticket. It's not about things going according to my plan or not going according to my plan. That something is afoot.

Something is already taking place. And that is that I am alive. However your life is, however your situation is, once upon a time, it wasn't that way. If somebody has lost their, I mean, just recently, I saw people. And I'm not trying to pass judgment on them. But there was a fire. And some people lost their houses. And I remember people coming and crying, looking at their house and crying. And I understand that. I completely understand that. Because that's all, just like all your assets, everything that you have worked for, just gone. And in that moment, I just felt like, I know this is bad. I know this is terrible. I know this is horrible. But you know what? You're alive. You're alive. And that is the most important thing. There was a time when you didn't have this house, the one that you are so sad about. You didn't have it. You were, once upon a time, you were just a little baby. You didn't own any assets. You couldn't own any assets. You didn't own any pictures. And there was once a time you didn't even own anything. You didn't even understand the concept of ownership.

In fact, you didn't even have a job. And your future, nobody really knew. Because you didn't have any assets. You didn't have a job. You didn't really have anything. Talk about being penniless. You absolutely were penniless. Not a penny. Not a paisa. And the circumstances were extremely dire. I mean, not only was this situation, but on top of that, to top it all off, you couldn't even walk. And before that, you couldn't even crawl. But you know what? That did not stop you from being able to enjoy, from being able to feel happiness in your life. This is how it was.

One day, as our famous friend Kabir says, what's going to happen is a song. And when you actually listen to the words, it's really sad. But traditionally, the song has always been played up-tempo. Almost like, yes! But it's a really sad song. And traditionally, in my life, when I was a little boy, I have watched people dance to this song. Time with my father, people would play it, and everybody would be dancing. And I didn't really understand the words. And it wasn't that long ago that one day I was listening to it in my car. And I went, wow, this is an intense song. And what is the song? That the swan, the Hansa of life, is gone. And empty remains the frame. This is the frame. And it becomes empty. Something is gone. Something has left. And the song just goes on.

So then there is somebody who starts washing the clothes. They're going to cover you up. Little different traditions. But I guess you finally get to dress up in the finest tuxedo. And then it just goes on that somebody weeps, somebody cries. But at the end, they take you as far as they can into the jungle and light you on fire. And there's one line in there, one little couplet in there that's really neat. Because all your life you believed on all these deities, all these things. And you prayed, and you prayed, and you prayed. But at the end, none of them come to help you. And you have to die. That's powerful. Because all your life you thought, oh yeah, it's working, it's working, it's working, it's working. I prayed to the god of lottery, and I think I'm going to get it, and maybe you do. I've got connections. So everybody thinks they have their connections. I pray to this, I pray to that. I pray this, I do this, I do this, I do that.

And Kabir says at the end, nobody comes to help you. You've got to go. You've got to go.

And then there are people, like I was saying yesterday, who are totally fascinated about going. What's going to happen, what's going to happen, what's going to happen, what's going to happen, what's going to happen? What's happened in your life? Did you know all this was going to happen in your life, that it's happened up till now? Did you know it was going to happen? Did you? With all the things that have happened in your life, you knew. You knew. When you were going to slip. When you were going to fall down. When you were going to cut your finger. When you were going to burn the toast. When you were going to get a speeding ticket. When you were going to lose your keys. When you were going to miss your flight. You knew all that. No. But you continue to live. You continue to exist. Somehow, it all works out. Somehow, at the end of the day, it's not so bad. It's OK. Of course, you have learned to trust, but you understand what trust means. And yes, that's all you can do. Bank on the kindness. Bank that there is a kindness, that somehow, whatever I go through, whatever happens, I understand a little more, because either you can get frustrated in this life.

You have a choice. You can either get frustrated, bewildered, sink in the deep hole of doubt, or you understand. It's a powerful thing. Existence is a powerful thing. The desire to be fulfilled is a powerful thing. It's a powerful element. Peace. And that in these things, I trust. That in these things, I find my comfort. That in these elements, clarity. That something inside of me perseveres to want to achieve that clarity in my life. But do I know? There is so much that I see, and there is so much that remains unseen.

So somebody comes along in your life and says, OK, so you see all of this. Fine. Now let me show you something else. Show me. Show me. Show me. Let me look through your eyes. I've been looking at my life through my eyes. The Master says, look through your life. Look at your life through my eyes. And you will see a simplicity. Not the burdens, not the pains, not the dualities, not the clashes, but see this human being. A human, a success story. The success that started a long time ago and is still unfolding. And will be a success till the very last breath.

And if the heart is full, all the success. Yesterday I said something, and I was thinking about that too. look for immortality. Look for the immortal. Because I guess if you find the immortal, immortality can't be far behind. What is immortal? Can we even perceive? Can we even imagine what is immortal? No. It's just a definition. Something that never dies. What is it that never dies? Everything that the eyes see has already been proclaimed. It's not real. It's not real. The sun is not real. No. One day it will have vanished. Oh, surely the earth is real. Sorry. Once it wasn't, neither was the sun. And one day it will be gone. How can you say that? It's the nature. Of all that that you see, it is the nature. All that you thought is permanent never was. It never was. It just pretended to be, and you wanted to believe it. It's like the man, the woman, the teen that builds their house out of sand on the edge. Many houses have been built here. Sand is compressed to give it a shape, and then it's disintegrated, put back exactly as it was. The waves come like a rake and rake that sand.

The great equalizer. Do not be saddened by this, but awaken. See, that's the point. sit there going, oh, the great equalizer. I want to be equalized, because that's not what it's about. You can dance great, but have you learned to dance in your heart? You can sing great. Have you learned to sing in your heart? You can fly great. Have you learned how to fly with this heart? Because if you haven't, it remains incomplete.

The journey remains incomplete. It's a journey to whom, where, what? People talk about the journey, journey. You know, there's the path well walked on, path not so well walked on, path nobody has walked on, the path that hasn't been built yet, the path that is being manufactured. Journey to whom, to what? Journey, journey, journey, journey, journey. Somebody come up with the word journey. Journey, journey, I'm journey. Are you journey? Yes, I'm journey. Journey, I'm a journey. I'm journey, my journey's afoot. My journey, my journey, my journey, my journey, my journey, my journey, my journey. What journey? To whom, to where, where are we going? People like to pick up on all these phrases. Peace, oh yeah, peace, peace, peace, peace is great, peace is great, we all need peace, we all need peace, peace, yes, the world needs peace, do you understand what peace means? Do you have any idea what peace is? Journey, journey, journey, do you know what journey means? Where are you going, to whom, where is the destination, any ideas? The day, the day I can recognize, I can reach that feeling within me, the immortal within me, that's it, that's the journey too, journey home, my track home. Home, without any regards to anything else, where I can be, where I can be content, where I can be happy, where I can be in that joy, where I can be in that clarity, where I no longer need to be whipped by doubt.

There are people in this world who will tell you how to cope with all your problems, not get rid of your problems, cope with your problems, manage your anger, anger, when things are not right, the gears grind, that's anger, and people say, no, get rid of it, manage it, what, read it more, manage it. So there is a whole industry out there that is like, listen, you just learn to cope with your problems, then there's somebody else saying, what problems? These problems, they will automatically go away, worry about them, one day they'll all be gone, you won't have them. The problem, the greatest problem you have is not recognizing the Self, your life will never be in balance regardless of what you do if you put the Self first.

Self is the one, everything else is a zero. You can have three zeros and then put a one, and what is the value of one and what is the value of the zero, zero remains zero, one remains one. Put one in front of those zeros and what do you have, a thousand, ten thousand, keep adding the nothings, but so far you keep that one first, it'll just keep going, million, hundred million, hundred, hundred billion, trillion, flip it, and zeros become zeros, and one still remains one, a little formula.

If you can place that self first, not being selfish, not the Self like I need to be in front of the line, no, I'm not talking about that, that's not placing the Self first, that's being selfish, that's being stupid, that's being arrogant, no, the Self. In your life, in your own life, the Self, the Self that you are, that Hansa, that swan, by whose presence all things happen, by whose absence nothing. By whose presence you are who you are, by whose absence you are nothing.

By whose presence you are adored, by whose absence you are buried. I think that's a big clue, huge clue. The good news is that this understanding, that this clarity is possible, there's quite a few aspirants here, 62 countries represented here, and I think they should have counted the countries first before they came up with that number.

But people have come, propagation is growing, the enthusiasm of people who have Knowledge to make propagation happen is absolutely incredible. All around the world, I'm seeing that the effort, little effort that people are making, it is making such a big difference, it's amazing, absolutely amazing. There was a time that one could only imagine 100,000 people listening to my message, there's many, many times more now listening to this message.

I'm not talking about just India, I'm talking about the western world. Hundreds of thousands of people are listening to this message. And not only listening to the message, but enjoying the message.

Recently, I was in a country and walked up to the immigration, and the immigration lady there just lit up, I watch you on words of peace. And not only I watch you on words of peace, but thank you, makes such a big difference in my life. All I can say is, I'm glad you enjoy it.

So then I go from there to the hotel, and all the maids, then I'm leaving the airport, and the security lady, I'm waiting for my bags to come to the security lady, how are you? You live in Fiji? I said no. I watch you on television, words of peace, and thank you so much, it makes such a difference in my life. And when I was in this place, it just blew me away, I mean I had heard about words of peace, I had heard about statistics and numbers and this and that, but when this was happening face to face, and nobody had put them up to this, and that day, because there was a time I remember, instructors used to get up and inspire people to listen, I used to do that.

And now, hundreds of thousands of people are listening, and nobody is inspiring them, they're inspiring themselves. They are home, sit down, and out of their own, nobody has contacted them, nobody has told them about this, out of their own want, they turn on the television and go to that channel and sit down. Nobody has sent them a brochure, nobody has sent them a DVD, nobody has sent them an invitation to watch.

The other day, my brother was telling me that he was going through and he gave his boarding card for check-in, and the lady there, or the person there said, oh you have a different last name. In fact I know a person, I watch him on TV, he has the same last name, he said well that's my brother. So, let's make 2008 one of the best years for propagation.

Whatever it takes, let's have some fun, I mean really have some fun in 2008, it's about time, it's about time. No uphill battles, just splendid, fun, fun, fun, fun, 2008. And you know, I mean New Year's is just right around the corner, so I hope you have great fun holidays, and you buy enough things to appease others so they will appease you. It's a formula, isn't it? It's a formula, it's a formula. This is what happens, it just becomes, I remember this one guy, he was a friend of mine, and he was very, very wealthy. One time around Christmas, he sends me this big gift and it arrives in these huge boxes, and it's like, whoa, what has this guy done now? So I open up the box and it's all full of books, so I pick up a book, it's like, oh, what is this book about? And it says his name on it, it says to so-and-so from so-and-so.

He got this book from somebody else, he didn't want him, so he sent him to me. The great appeaser. But I really hope you have a wonderful, wonderful New Year.

It's all about joy. This is one life you have, not two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Get it right. Get it right. How many mistakes have you made in your life? People have their birthdays, 50, 60, 70, statistically, you're getting there. But be fooled, be fooled, statistically, it all has started when you were born. You have been moving towards that one day at the same exact rate all your life. It may look faster now, slower before, that's a grand illusion. You have been moving at a constant rate towards that day. It is not about where you are between the two points that counts. It is only when you get it, that's what counts. Even if it is two minutes before, but you got it. That's it. You got it. Get it now. Get it now. Now is never too early and never too late. It's now.

And if you do, it becomes simple. No more wars. I know people are very upset about the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am, I am.

But forget the war in here. This one has been raging on for a long time. And there is a graveyard where the slain moments lie, slain moments, moments lost to unconsciousness. And it's huge. The cemetery is huge. You need to put an end to this war too. That war is a reflection of this war. Does somebody else have to put out their war before you will put out yours?

Now, be in peace. Be in peace. There are people who talk about being in peace around the holiday times. I talk about being in peace year round. People want to be in joy. They talk about being in joy around the holiday time. I talk about being in joy year round. And forget about year round. I actually inspire people to be in joy every single moment of their living life, because it's possible. It is possible. And it's possible in your lifetime. So all those wonderful things, I hope they come true for you. They come true.
