Guru gets Testimonial And Some Pie In The Face

DETROIT, Aug. 7 (UPI) - Guru Maharaj Ji, the 15-year-old from India called the "perfect master" by his followers, went to City Hall yesterday to receive a testimonial resolution praising his work - and got a cream pie in the face. The pie thrower, a bearded young man who concealed the confection beneath a floral bouquet, said the guru was on an ego trip and he "just wanted to show he was mortal." The guru, who was being honored for his efforts to promote peace, love and unity, gave the young man a forgiveness blessing.
