About 3,000 followers of Maharaj Ji, the 19-year-old guru they consider their "perfect master," showed up at Convention Hall in Atlantic City, but the guru showed he had less than perfect timing. The 3,000 faithful waited and waited, but the swami did not show up. A spokesman said he was too busy meeting with the board of his Divine Light Mission, in a nearby motel, to address his followers. "He comes when he wants," the spokesman explained. "If he does not come, he does not come."
