Songs of Praise and Worship Inspired by Prem Rawat: If You Want To Go To Heaven
For the first 20 years of his career Prem Rawat (Maharaji) was known as the Lord of the Universe or its Hindi equivalent, Guru Maharaj Ji. This little ditty was enjoyed through the 1970s but is now off Prem Rawat's Greatest Hits. However it does exemplify how Prem Rawat demanded no ethical or moral duties upon his followers and how He was always ready to rescue them, spiritually, on request.
If You Want To Go To Heaven
Oh hand me down my walking cane
Oh hand me down my walking cane
Oh hand me down my walking cane
I'm gonna catch that midnight train
All my sins are taken away
If you want to go to heaven, Guru Maharaj Ji takes you there
If you want to go to heaven, Guru Maharaj Ji takes you there
If you want to go to heaven don't die in despair
Guru Maharaj Ji will take you there
All my sins are taken away
Oh I got drunk and put in gaol
Oh I got drunk and put in gaol
Oh I got drunk and put in gaol
Guru Maharaj Ji has paid my bail
All my sins are taken away
Oh I'm at peace at last you know
Cause Guru Maharaj Ji has me for His own
Every day I meditate
And I hope you're not too late
All my sins are taken away
