Scenes from a Holi Festival in Calcutta in 1984
This is a poor quality video but sheds some light on Prem Rawat's dual personality. Guru Maharaj Ji, the Lord of the Universe, the Revealer of Light in India and Prem Rawat investor, philanthropist, pilot and international Peace worker in the West post-1970s. The soundtrack is, to Western ears, a discordant jangle of unpleasnt screeching and chanting that presumably is inspiring and uplifting religious songs to the crowd.
The Video begins with 10 minutes of chaotic crowd scenes at a religious festival in India.

Then a siren starts up and a jeep filled with men dressed in white races through the crowd to a building surrounded by enthusiastic Indians. Maharaji aka Rawat alights from the jeep and soon appears climbing stairs with what seems to be Mahatma Sampuranand to a central rooftop position and what looks like a large gun. The gun reveals itself as a giant water pistol and for 30 minutes (with one break) Prem Rawat aka Guru Maharaj Ji sprays the crowd with coloured water.

Rawat then appears on stage and gives a speech that last 20 minutes

There is then 20 minutes of Rawat on stage being worshipped. He confers with Sampuranand and at times people leaping up dancing appear at the bottom of the screen. There is more garlanding and foot kissing.

Obese men require regular toilet breaks as their excess fat squeezes their bladder.

The Krishna Crown appears by magic or an editing room mistake.

Rawat dances very briefly or at least encourages the crowd to dance and exits.
