The Procession: Lingfield Guru Puja '78

Prem Rawat acted out his role as Guru Maharaj Ji for nearly 20 years but on stage he mostly didn't look like he was enjoying himself unless he was talking about his exploits as a pilot. He often ranted and raged about pretty well everything even though he wasn't doing too badly for an ugly, overfed teenage boy with an honorary title, Lord of the Universe, a hot wife and money for nothing. However, as this video clip shows, he really loved being in a procession, actually riding on the sole float in a procession was good enough though he was probably dreaming of Himself starring in a cavalcade down Main Street.

He was excited about his first procession by a Satguru in the "West" and fantasized about one day being able to have a procession through a town or city like his father used to have. I mean, it's just so beautiful. You know, even to have that little procession … it was the first time that a procession like that ever really has happened in the West. And it was so beautiful. It felt so good seeing all the premies. And maybe, you know, we will hold a program, more brothers and sisters will be here, more premies will be here. We can have a longer one. Then we take it through a major town. You know maybe it will be possible, someday. But forget about those "somedays." Now. Satsang, service, meditation. So premies, thank you very much.

He wasn't being totally crazy. He wasn't talking about the giant processions (yatras) that his father, the succesful Indian Satguru, Shr Hans Ji Maharaj, held.

Nor was he talking about the giant processions that his eldest brother, the successful Indian Godman, Politician and Satguru, Satpal Maharaj held throughout India

He wasn't talking about the giant processions that he had led when he was a young Satguru Godboy in India before he was disinherited, deposed and despised.

Guru Puja Street Procession

He wasn't talking about the wonderful processions his young committed, energetic premies used to hold before they fizzed flat. He knew that if He was at the head of a procession moving through a town, all the people who saw him would come running to His feet if his premies hadn't f*cked it up
