Available Copies of 'And It Is Divine' Magazine
'And It Is Divine' was the name of this colour magazine published by Divine Light Mission in the USA from November 1972 until the late 1970's when it was replaced by 'Élan Vital'. It began as a monthly magazine with highbrow pretensions attempting to carry a wide spectrum of articles relating to the wider alternative culture and ended the same as all other Divine Light Mission magazines printing pictures and speeches of Prem Rawat's or his immediate family or close followers. Before 1974 every copy carried a signed manifesto by Sant Ji Maharaj stating "There has never been a time when the Lord of Creation did not manifest Himself in human form, and come to this planet Earth to do away with evil and spread the True Knowledge.
According to the Divine Light Mission administrators telling people about Knowledge via this magazine was going to be "the most important thing ever done."
Due to financial problems caused by the November 1973 Millenium Festival fiasco, magazine publishing was suspended until another major inheritance was donated to DLM.
From here on there were no more articles about anything not directly concerned with Prem Rawat aka Guru Maharaji aka Maharaji. Actually there were no more articles at all. There were only edited transcripts of Rawat's speeches and this policy continued when the magazine was renamed and revamped as "Élan Vital"
All the And It is Divine magazines included the following proclamation in one form or another:
Dear Reader,
By the grace of Almighty Lord, we bring you the magazine And It Is Divine. You will find this magazine very different from others, because it shows not only the suffering of the world, but also a way out for all humanity.
There has never been a time when the Lord of Creation did not manifest Himself in human form, and come to this planet Earth to do away with evil and spread the True Knowledge. But history is a pendulum which is always in swing. There have been so many scriptures, but still people have never been able to understand Him.
Divine Light Mission wants to bring world peace by sharing the Knowledge which is within us by the grace of Almighty Lord. In this magazine, we hope to give information about the peace which lives within us, which Guru Maharaj Ji reveals.
And yes, He, Himself, Prem Rawat aka Sant Ji Maharaj, Prem Pal Singh Rawat, Maharaji, Guru Maharaj Ji, Balyogeshwar Param Sant Ji Maharaj was the manifestation of the 'Lord of Creation' and his signature was on every print of this manifesto.
