Soul Rush, a pilgrimage for peace and an invitation for all Americans to come to Millennium '73 in Houston, took off with a rousing start in Boston on Oct. 24, then swept on to Plymouth, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. with the message of the advent of real peace on earth.

 5 The Free Sound of Blue Aquarius  The experience of being in Blue Aquarius is actually the story of the band's relationship to Bhole Ji. More important than their roles as musicians, the members of Blue Aquarius think of themselves as Bhole Ji's tools to spread Knowledge. To a man, the band declares that they "all love him very, very much." "That's just words." said Polly Bolton, vocalist. "We can't even begin to say how much we love him." A subtle exchange takes place between Bhole Ji and his band as they communicate with music. "You must understand that Bhole Ji is not a conductor - he is the music itself," explains Erika Andersen, trumpeter. "He plays us. If we try to be a musician, we freak out. If we meditate and let him play through us, it's alright."

 6 An Introduction to Divine Light Mission
Divine Light Mission was the brainchild of one man, Satgurudev Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, Guru Maharaj Ji's father. For several decades he traveled across India, from village to village, giving spiritual discourses to small groups of people, and initiating the few sincere seekers of Truth in the Knowledge of God. In 1961 Shri Maharaj Ji founded the mission. He sent his mahatmas, close disciples who have been empowered to reveal Knowledge, out into India to spread Truth. Free public programs were organized in every large city.

Krishna Lila   Krishna Lila, is a dance of devotion. It relates the yearning of devotees for the presence of their Lord and their infinite joy when He comes to them. It is a dance, not only of the external relationship between Master and devotee, but of our internal longing for God and our supreme bliss when we receive Knowledge and can know Him within ourselves.

 7 Choral Work   Out of inspiration from a meditation, Erika Andersen, wrote the opening of what was to develop into a major choral work. "I had never written anything so large before," she said, "and yet, it seemed to just flow out of me."

World Peace Corps and Other Aids Work To Make Visitors Welcome   Using WPC members from all over America and Europe, the Corps also provides security for Guru Maharaj Ji and the Holy Family.

"And why am I here? Why am I in the world? It's to show people one way. And that is the one way to God. God is one and there is one way to see God. So understand and realize why I have come here, to show you one way, to show you one path. I don't want to change your religions. I, myself, am floating much higher than any religious imagination. I have seen God and I know God. But still I am away from the distinction of one religion against another, one creed against another, one caste against another. I am floating much higher than that. I know that because I am."

 8 A new Film: Millenium '73
Guru Maharaj Ji wanted us to make a feature film, and this film, Millennium '73, will be a mixture of feature and documentary. It will be filmed in 35mm Cinemascope, quadraphonic sound, and will reach the highest technical quality.

9 Biographies of the Holy Family
Mata Ji first came to North America in May of 1972. Her reception at the Toronto International Airport was described in the Toronto Star: "She speaks only Hindi, but there is a grace and merriment about her that filled the room. (The devotees) turned their faces toward her like flowers before the sun… I have not seen such faces before."

11 What Is Knowledge?
One night I heard one of Maharaj Ji's apostles or mahatmas give a discourse, the gist of which was that God was energy that could be directly experienced by human beings inside as light, sound, feeling and taste. This mahatma said he could transmit this Knowledge to people who wanted to know it bad enough. I decided to give it a try because it didn't cost anything, and I couldn't figure out any way I could lose, except maybe a few hours of my time.

12 DUO 'An Organization of Love'
Guru Maharaj Ji named the third day of the festival, "The Founding Convention of Divine United Organization," the organization that will feed the world and provide clothing and shelter for all humanity. The dream of mankind to end suffering and bring peace will become a reality through DUO.

Guru Maharaj Ji explained what Guru Puja meant at this festival, "… here are some special occasions just for devotees and the most valuable is Guru Puja. Actually Guru …. you know what guru means … and puja means prayer. Prayer is not a good definition, because we won't get an answer from prayer, for puja is done by the heart and not spoken by the mouth … if a devotee has a Guru, then puja is his life."
