Prem Rawat's World of Knowledge video - 1997

This short (17 minutes) 1997 video is basically a montage of his travels in 1996 with a few short excerpts from his speeches and some songs. It begins with a scene of a line of people in Japan which devotees of Rawat can recognise as a where his followers pass before him and bow and kiss his feet as he sits in a raised chair. Such displays of Indian religious fervour are kept secret but a keen eye can see that the head of one person goes down on Maharaji's feet at the right side of the screen. There is a quick clip of another in Kaohsiung later in the video and there is one in New Zealand and another in India. There are shots of the large crowds at his "events" though this is mainly the same crowd in different places on the same continent.

In the midst of this falsely positive view of the "growth" in Rawat's followers (the graph even shows less event attendance in 1992 compared to 1991) is a clip of him telling his followers to remember him so that when they are dying they will think of him as well. They applaud as they ordinarily do when he makes statements alluding to his divinity. He then attributes this to Krishna talking to Arjuna thereby reminding them of his early teachings that he was, in fact, Krishna, he was Jesus and he was every (Perfect) Master.

MJ: "So much has been done, a tremendous lot has been done this is an ongoing effort, this is that time when Knowledge has left India and come and it is the first time in the history of Knowledge that it is in every part of this world (applause) and when you look at it it happened rather quickly but it's only a start. This is by all means the first generation."

Prem Rawat many times publicly said that Jesus and Mohammed all taught this same Knowledge and they certainly did not live and teach and "reveal Knowledge" in India. Rawat has never cared for consistency ot truth and this is a perfect example. By the year 2020 it is looking like it will be not the first generation but the only generation as Prem Rawat himself and the cohort of ageing Premies dies. His children while accepting sinecures from Rawat's organisations have shown no spiritual authority and neither has any followers of Prem's. Prem demands that he be the only source of authority re the Knowledge he promotes. This leaves no strategy for the continuance of his "mission"after his death. Meanwhile in India, Satpal and and his sons and Manav Dharam goes on into the future and the next generations are already in place and Hans' legacy is continuing along in an unbroken line quite nicely.

MJ: "First it has to begin with a want and enthusiasm and a sincere wish, the sincerest wish you can have to be part of it." (Kuala Lumpur participation meeting

Prem Rawat's usual Catch 22 of Knowledge: if you don't have sincerest possible wish to have it (ie the Knowledge) before you get it then it won't work for you and if it doesn't work for you then you didn't have the sincerest possible wish.

MJ: "From having no Knowledge Centers, all of a sudden it's two Knowledge Centers, one in Australia and one in Nepal. You have to realize that as long as Knowledge has been given there was never a place actually ever built so you could do it there. The one in Australia is quite a showcase, it's magnificent. Of course just because it has mostly windows and you look out and there's this incredible view, gorgeous, gorgeous hall. The same thing, the same kind of thing in Nepal, there was this the hall, the new knowledge center that had been built and I had already seen it but you know they they wanted to do an official ribbon-cutting ceremony whatever have you (applause). It was so sweet, so sweet and they were just like 'I hope you like it, I hope this is good.'" (Amaroo participation meeting)

Rawat rejoices that for the first time in human history two small buildings have been erected solely for the purpose of "Revealing Knowledge" inside them. Its as if he is bragging that he's done better than all the Perfect Masters who came before him. The one in Australia is used for that purpose less than a handful of days per year because Prem Rawat is unable to attract many Australians. Meanwhile the same methods and techniques were and are being "revealed" using the many buildings of Satpal's ashrams and other infrastructure throughout India.

MJ: "This presentation came uh balong as uh basically I started to look at some figures of what was happening around the world and even though the figures are quite impressive it's not so much the figures as it is to just grasp of how everything has grown (applause)."

MJ: "That which you worry about the most, that which you think about that the most is what you are going to think about in your last moments. So the solution, think about me! Remember me! (loud applause) That's what Krishna says to Arjun a long time ago, (applause) long time ago and in my remembrance you will remember all that that you need."

The forlorn hope at the last resort. So when a premie/student of Prem Rawat's is dying, thinking about Him will somehow have some sort of supernatural "Arjun and Krishna" effect because (unspoken but understood) Prem Rawat and Krishna are one and the same. You may have doggedly obeyed Prem's instructions and followed him through life's twists and turns but you never caught that Rawatian Carrot but at the moment of death He will save you.

Aspirare

After all, hasn't he told you many times that "Even In Your Darkest Hour, I Will Always Be With You"

Sounds like a torch song - (One of Rawat's Daughters)

It's no use worrying about where we went wrong
cause there's you to help us through
and in turning I give my heart
and my soul to you
in my heart I know I need you
in this life I need direction
sometimes it's hard to carry on
in the world that fallen out of love with life
Will you please help me realize your love
how blessed we are to be here with you
it would be so hard in this life
not knowing of you
so I yearn for you, I'll follow you, I love you,
I love you you're the only one for me
eternally, Maharaji

Song: You're my Pilot

You're My Pilot Lord
I'm flying with you Lord and I'm staying with you Lord
you're my pilot yeah and I'm flying with you Lord
give me the strength to carry on
help me to make my decisions day by day
guide my hand that I may never hurt nobody
give me the song to heal my heart
because you're my pilot and I'm flying with you Lord
you'll be my light in my hour of dark
you will be my guide to all this
give me a sign so I may never be disturbed
you got to love I got the patience
for your my pilot and I'm flying with you Lord

Pictures below are from scenes of a Darshan Line where Prem Rawat sits on a high chair, people line up, pass in front of Rawat amd kiss his feet as they go past. It is filmed so that premies will recognise it and understand but others won't.

This Knowledge so universal, so universal, (whispers) accept it, welcome it. (loudly) Every day welcome it into your life."

Below are stills from scenes of another Darshan Line as premies line up to kiss Maharaji's Lotus Feet. Film of the actual bowing and kissing hasn't been released since the early 1980's.

It is the wissdom (sic) that I cannot be without. It is the element that I need in my life, my life itself depends upon this (music begins softly, swelling) and if I can only accept it as the blessing then my God here is a miracle unparalleled taking place within me."

Song: Dance, Dance, Dance

Your breath is the life of all mankind
Without you we are completely blind
Your presence sends our hearts out of control
Please Maharaj Ji our souls are your dance floor
Won't you dance, dance, dance
Our hearts long to see you dance
It seems we've waited for ages
Turned countless pages
We can't wait much longer
The music's getting stronger
So please dance, dance, dance
Our hearts long to see you dance
When your feet move the mind shakes
The world in our soul wakes
We can dance on for ever
Nothing else matters
So please dance, dance, dance
Maharaj Ji gather us in your dance

Hear Rich Neel's 1978 songs
and read lyrics and see released audio tape
