We might think Guru Maharaj Ji might make a mistake. Guru Maharaj Ji might be giving satsang and say a word that we think, "Oh, it isn't pronounced like that." But to me that wasn't a mistake, because look what we do. Then our minds jump out and, "Oh, Guru Maharaj Ji made a mistake. So what was the reason for that?" Guru Maharaj Ji is that force, that power, that perfection. And Guru Maharaj Ji is also that power in a form, in person. And I have no idea, I will never, actually I will never be able to see his glory.

You remove the fear of this world. You are the very incarnation of good fortune, and filled with blissfulness. You are Shiva, the one who lets endless nectar flow. Only one who has seen and known God within himself can see God in buildings, temples, books, rosary beads, and so on. Some people call Him "Ram," but they don't know His true form. … What is His true form? Aren't we all eager to know His true identity? It is said, "My form is such, that even the brilliance of one thousand suns can never equal it." If His form is so magnificent and if we have such a desire to know it, what's the trouble? Know Him, Know His Name. Even though God is One He pervades everywhere. So what is His real form? If you want to know His true Name and want to see His true form, then take refuge in Guru Maharaj Ji. When you have this Knowledge, you will not need to know anything else. You will know why this human body has been given to you.

Now He took a form to refine this whole world. Jesus came. He was trying to do all that in Middle East. But now He has taken a form to refine this whole world, from one corner to other corner of the whole world. He has come. And what does He do? He gives people such a technique, such a method, which is perfect, and gets them away from sufferings, the causes of sufferings of this world. God made the mind, but He never made a stoplight. And when He saw that "There is no stop in this mind which I have made," He was very sorry. He had to take a form. The form of Guru is nobody but Himself, the whole that you want to see. The whole power is now in the form of a body. That is the body which is Supremest of all, and its duties, works are not like those of humanity. … We think that God is the highest and holiest thing. But listen: God has come in the form of human man, form of you and me! What can be higher than that? Such a high person took the same form as the lowest thing. No shame at all! For our benefit. I came here for benefit of you. I left my school. I left everything to give you something.
God manifested Himself fully into a form. Not a part, but wholly into a form, to cure people from the disease of sufferings. He came into this world; nobody recognized Him. For He never came like a flash or something, so that people could recognize Him. He came as the law of nature was; He came very silently. But what He was doing side by side, it was rather impossible for people of any time to recognize Him. People of this time also can't recognize what He is doing. They can't recognize what His works are. They can't respect Him. But when He will finish up, and the whole result will be added up, people will pray.

GMJ: Yes, yes, He was a Perfect Master. See, what is the Holy Ghost? The Holy Ghost is the same spirit as God. But when It has to take a human form It comes into that Holy Spirit. When God takes human form He is Perfect Master. Perfect. Because, except for God, nobody's perfect. So when He is the Perfect Master, He is Himself.
Q: Was Jesus of God, or did He have to advance, did He have to be made perfect?
GMJ: He had to be made perfect. That's why the Knowledge was given to Him, then He was perfect.

You have a physical form. You need a physical body to realize it. Now, if you have a formless God then you require a formless Guru to give you this knowledge. Because you have a form, you require a form of Guru to give you a form of a devotee. You require that. For that you take the help of Guru; not only Guru - Satguru. "Sat" means truth and "Gu" means darkness and "Ru" means to light a thing for us. I think that now you have understood, probably not wholly, then part of what I wanted to explain to you. Have you? I think so.

If God comes along, you can't sit and write down that experience because it is an emotion you were feeling not by your mind, not by your thinking power, but by your heart. Some people pray to the formless God, and other people pray to the formed God. But we pray neither to the formless or to the formed we pray to the Word. The Word is neither formless or in a form. That is why this is called the middle path. Open a seed and you won't find a tree, yet there is still a tree existing in that seed. A form has come out of a formless thing. God means: "G" for generator; "O" for operator; and "D" for destroyer. We are born, we are living, and we die.

We read the scriptures without understanding what they are saying. Indian people read the Bhagavad Gita and in this Lord Krishna, the Living Master of His time, said clearly, "Don't recognize me by my external appearance for this is perishable. My true form has no beginning and no end. Believe it or not, the fact is that God is supreme and pure: The people are lying on a bed of ignorance and dreams and doubts. They expect God Himself to come (they pray for it, they ask for it, they announce about it) but when He comes, they fail to recognize Him. And not recognizing Him in His physical form, they cannot recognize Him within themselves.

So a Perfect Master always manifests himself into this human form. If he comes as a dog, we are going to chain him and put him in our house. If he comes as a cat … So which is the most appropriate form for him to manifest himself? He does not manifest for cows, for dogs, for sheep and so on; he manifests himself for the human race. And it's not a question that God has manifested himself for one age only. Over centuries and centuries, years and years, ages and ages, God has come here. But, because of our simple ignorance, we couldn't realize him.

"Form" means that energy takes a form which is like Guru. Okay? Formless energy is energy. Formless form of God is energy, and does that energy have any form? No. Guru has a form, right? And Guru is a form; energy is formless. But you have to see to consider something formless and with form. God is not visible by these eyes. So He is formless, He has a form yet He is beyond all that. Because you cannot see Him with these eyes. This is a common thing, but commonsense is uncommon.
Why did God ever take form?
There is no question we can ask "Why?" to God, of course. God is ten times, a thousand times, a million times more clever than us. And any step He takes we do not know why He took that step. If you are the boss of the world and God works under you then you can ask Him, "Why did you take a form?" He takes a form of a Guru to come into this world to enlighten people, to show then a way, to show them a path. That's what we can see, that's what we can realize why He takes a form.

You see, these examples prove that the Lord is Almighty, he is All Perfect. He can come in any form, any way, any time, any second, he wants to. We cannot say, "Well, that is the time he is gonna come," because if we can limit him, then it's a little bit funny. Because then he is limited. Then where is his perfectness? Every time, a Perfect Master has shown us that he is unlimited. He can do anything he wants to do. Be crucified, be dead, and still be able to come back. So, premies, besides all the prophecies of this world, one thing we have to realize is that he is always with us. He is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. But because of our crazy mind, we always contradict ourselves by saying, "Lord is going to come," comma, "he is omnipresent." If he is omnipresent, then where is he going to come from? That means he is not omnipresent. Or if he is, then he is always here. That is what we have to realize, that form of him that is omnipresent!

Just see, today this word 'guru' has become a ridiculous term, a sort of a joke and people do not know what is a 'guru'. When I fly a plane in India, I often listen to the radio in the cockpit. There are talks going on between various pilots in the vicinity. Somebody would address: "Well guru, how are you?" Because they do not know the true meaning and implications. They don't understand the glory of a guru and Master. Because they have forgotten altogether. They have made such pseudo-guru who have put the whole system to disrepute. … Such so-called gurus have marred the reputation of this institution. It has been ruined. Actually the guru is such a personality about whom it is said: I bow down to the lotus feet of my Guru Maharaj Ji who is the ocean of mercy and is actually Hari (God) himself in human form. And whose words are like sunbeams to disperse the accumulated darkness of gross ignorance. So Tulsidas says that he bows down to such a Guru Maharaj Ji, the Master, who is really Hari (Supreme Power) in the form of man. So the main thing to understand here is that he bows down to the feet of that guru whose utterances, whose expressions are able to illuminate. And what is that which is illuminated by his words? It is the heart which is illuminated. His words are able to sever and dispel the spidery web of illusion, infatuation and ignorance.
